Over time, what is happening is people are spending less energy on other people's money and on hiring people.

But when you use automation and AI, and you are using media to find leverage, you can do some pretty impressive things!

So in the past, the old way was to use lots of people to build your company. Today, you don't need a lot of people to build companies.

It's called the 7-11-4 rule.

This is a rule that quantifies how you gain trust. It's from a book called Oversubscribed By Daniel Priestley in 2014,

They did some consumer insights and they solved this....

How do you take a person and a brand, from being seen as a stranger, to being seen as a trusted source or a strategic partner?

What they learned is that it requires:
 

  • 7 hours of being exposed to you and your brand.

  • 11 touch points of interactions in...

  • 4 different locations - either online or offline.


If you accomplish that, you'll no longer be seen as a stranger and you'll be seen as a trusted source. You'll be seen just like a company like Amazon or Apple.

We want to buy from companies and people that we know like and trust and once you own trust you become preemptive to all other marketing.

In fact, I would argue that you could suck at marketing and sales and still close deals. This is why when you get a referral they close so much easier.

This is why when you do business with someone you've known in the past, they ask two questions and the deal closes.
